1. How light are LUST bikes? Our custom frames vary with the needs, style, size and power of every rider. LUST’s unique External/Internal Filament-Wound Lug System ensures a lighter and more stable ride, no matter which LUST frame you’re riding.

On a LUST bike, you can confidently crank around that last corner in a criterium, descend at 60 MPH from a hill climb, or log 100 miles in a day.

For example, depending on the needs of the cyclist, LUST can produce a bicycle frame for a 120-pound rider ranging from 1.7 pounds (for an all-around riding and racing bike) to 1.9 pounds (for a sprinting bike).

For a 180-pound person, LUST can produce a bicycle frame ranging from 2.0 pounds (for an all-around riding and racing bike) to 2.2 pounds (for a sprinting bike).

For any rider, LUST can even built a lower-weight frame specifically for hill climbs. Please contact LUST directly for more information.

2. How can bikes this light descend or race without wobbling like crazy? LUST bicycles are built to be all-around cycling machines. Our unique External/Internal Filament-Wound Lug System works with your custom fit to provide the most solid, comfortable ride you could ever imagine.

3. Why are your frames less expensive than other custom frames? Plainly put, LUST cycles is a modest one-frame builder operation with low overhead. We’re able to keep our prices reasonable because we don’t pass on to our customers any extra costs associated with marketing, staff or luxurious facilities.

And there is also our pure passion for what we’re doing. We strive to make LUST bikes available for as many equally passionate folks as possible.

4. Why aren’t there any visible lugs on your bikes? Our unique External/Internal Filament-Wound Lug System makes this possible.

5. What’s up with the integrated seat and seat post? This is the ultimate arrangement for those who are totally confident about their bike fit. It reduces the overall weight of the bicycle and maximizes the rider’s efficiency by eliminating extra tubing, clamps and hardware.

6. What is Bundled Tube Technology and why does it matter? Bundled Tube Technology (BTT) is one of the most innovative aspects of LUST tandem bicycles.

7. What makes LUST cycling shoes different from other custom cycling shoes? Our cycling shoes are hand crafted from a full custom mold of each foot. The bottom of the shoe fits your foot exactly, replacing the need for a custom insole. This makes for an exceptionally comfortable, lighter shoe and helps reduce stack height. Stack height is further reduced by a low-profile cleat platform. All of this technology combines to increase the power transfer from your foot to the pedal—making your pedal stroke more efficient.

8. Are LUST cycling shoes for bike racers only? LUST shoes are appropriate for anyone who loves to ride—from world-class Tour de France cyclists like Jonathan Vaughters…to any cyclist with lifelong foot problems…to busy parents and professionals who want to enjoy every moment of cycling they can squeeze in…to weekend warriors who race locally every weekend.

9. How much do LUST shoes weigh? On average, one shoe (size 42) weighs about 165 grams.
