Women-Specific Road and Cyclocross Bikes

It’s no secret that women and men are built differently. In recent years, the cycling industry has begun to recognize some of these differences to varying degrees.

LUST women-specific frames are much more than mens’ bikes with pink stickers.

Like all LUST bikes, our women-specific bicycles are full custom. So the frame’s geometry accommodates a woman’s own proportions—which are generally longer in the legs and shorter in the torso than male morphology.

LUST also makes exacting tweaks in steering geometry to eliminate or decrease toe overlap with the front wheel, which can be common to bicycles with shorter top tubes. In some cases, this means two 27-inch wheels and for exceptionally smaller riders, it may require a smaller front wheel.

All LUST bikes utilize tubes appropriate to the size and weight of the rider. With women-specific frames this means a woman won’t end up with tubing more suited to a male rider—which would create a ride much too harsh for a smaller cyclist.

In every aspect—handlebars, crank, saddle and fork—LUST women-specific frames carefully consider the needs and physique of the female rider. And you can stick with pink or go crazy—a full complement of colors is available!
